Paul Mark Oakenfold, a British dj also known as Electra or Oakenfold was born in London, England. He produces and mixes house music, acid house, trance music, Goa trance and film scores.

He started listening to the Beatles, and in a brillant way succeeded to meet Maze, Bob Marley and other famous in New-York. Back in London, he started playing soul in the 70s and met many popular British bands.

Back in Harlem, he played hip hop, soul and jazz for many years.

After his trip in Ibiza in 1987, he succeeded to perform what became the major Uk’s acid house nights, known as “Spectrum at Heaven in Charing Cross”. He began producing music under the alias “Electra” in 1988 and he decided to create a place where new artists could develop their careers and Perfecto Records was born.

Oakenfold and Osborne produced their third studio album, Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches that took the first place in “DJmag’s Top 100 DJs”. In 2002 an extended play was released with sales largely exceeding 1,000,000 copies.

He has done a lot of remixes from the likes of the Rolling Stones to Snoop Dogg, and also worked with Madonna and many famous people. Since October 2012, Oakenfold has served as an advisor to DJZ, but Recently he wrote two songs for Cher.
